SafeData Partners with EVault to Boost Disaster Recovery Services by Anne Grubb, products@windowsitpro.com |
 |
| SafeData, which formed last July to provide data-security and business-continuity services to small-to-midsized businesses (SMBs), has partnered with EVault to include EVault's Internet-based, disk-to-disk backup technology as a
component of the SafeData disaster recovery (SafeData/DR) solution. The EVault product backs up customers' data offsite and, in the event of a data loss or disaster, automatically sends the data to SafeData's data center where the data
is loaded onto a secure server. Customers can then immediately access their data through a VPN until their own servers are operational again. According to the vendor, "SafeData/DR is a reliable disaster recovery service for companies with
a recovery time objective (RTO) of 10 hours or less."
